Academic Background
Dr Bryant originally undertook research in auditory neuroscience, focusing on the effects of aminoglycoside antibiotics on hair bundle development and mutant hair cells. She then moved on to a more than 20-year career in medical communications, writing, reviewing, and editing manuscripts on behalf of pharmaceutical and academic clients to facilitate their submission and acceptance to academic journals. She has also worked in-house as a publications lead within a multinational pharmaceutical company.
Publishing History
Dr Bryant published a number of manuscripts and book chapters as a result of her PhD research and is an acknowledged medical writer on manuscripts concerning rare diseases, neurology and immunology, metabolic disorders, cardiovascular disorders, and psychiatry.
Editing and Reviewing Experience
Dr Bryant has reviewed and edited manuscripts on behalf of pharmaceutical and academic clients to facilitate their submission and acceptance to academic journals. She has also reviewed the work of colleagues and new writers to provide feedback and training on their work. Dr Bryant joined Edanz as an Editor and Research Consultant in 2024.
Writing Experience
Dr Bryant has provided medical writing support for the development of manuscripts, posters, abstracts, reports, and strategic materials for a variety of pharmaceutical and academic clients for over two decades. She is a Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP).
