    Academic Background

    Mr Buxton’s studies were in the Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences. From these studies he published a paper titled “Amphidromic Movement and Tidal Distortion in the English Channel.” After a period of research at Lancaster University, where he worked on improving the performance of weather radar (UK), he moved into the field of operational meteorology, in which he worked as a forecaster for over 20 years in the UK, Bermuda, and several countries in Europe.

    Publishing History

    Mr Buxton coauthored an article on amphidromic movement and tidal distortion in the English Channel that was published in The Hydrographic Journal.

    Editing and Reviewing Experience

    In his capacity as a full-time editor, Mr Buxton has edited hundreds of documents for non-native English-speaking authors in his fields of expertise. He joined Edanz as an editor in 2012.
