Academic Background
Following completion of her PhD, Dr Holland performed post-doctoral research at the University of Birmingham (UK) and served as a Senior Scientist at a contract research organization. She has expertise in T cell biology and bone marrow transplantation, and has edited documents in the fields of protein folding, cell biology, molecular biology, and biomedical sciences. With over 12 years in the lab, Dr Holland has ample experience reading, writing, and editing scientific manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, and grant proposals.
Publishing History
Dr Holland was the first author on an original research manuscript published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation, and on a review article in Current Opinion in Immunology. She has coauthored numerous research and review articles in journals including Blood, Journal of Experimental Medicine, Journal of Immunology, and Science. She has presented at international conferences including ThymUS, the European Thymus meeting, and the British Society for Immunology Congress.
Editing and Reviewing Experience
Dr Holland has worked through global editing companies and directly with graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and faculty members. She has also undertaken training with the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (formerly the Society for Editors and Proofreaders) and the Publishing Training Centre. Dr Holland joined Edanz as an Editor and Medical Writer in 2023.
