    Academic Background

    Dr Capes has a PhD in medicinal chemistry and a BSc (Hons) in chemistry; a BA in computer arts complements her scientific knowledge with an artistic and technological background. She has experience in working in organic chemistry, biochemistry, molecular parasitology, drug discovery, forensic chemistry, food chemistry, computational chemistry, and infectious disease, specifically African sleeping sickness.

    Dr Capes has authored five peer-reviewed papers in journals including Organic Letters, Carbohydrate Research, and Tetrahedron Letters.

    Dr Capes has 13 years’ experience in scientific editing for agencies and private clients.
