    Academic Background

    Professor Grizzi is the head of the Histology core facility at IRCCS Humanitas Research Hospital. He received his master’s degree from the University of Milan in 1995 and was recognized for his contributions to biomedical research, receiving the prestigious “Steven Newburgh Annual Award” in the same year. During his scientific career, he has held various academic positions, including Adjunct Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock, Texas, USA, and appointment to the National Cancer Institute-sponsored Pilot Cancer Antigen Prioritization Process of the US National Institute of Health. In 2015, he was appointed Adjunct Teaching Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the Humanitas University in the course “Building bodies: from gametes to organs”. In 2022, Professor Grizzi was appointed Adjunct Teaching Professor at the MEDTEC School in Rozzano, Milan, Italy, where he taught the course “Physiology, Anatomy and Biochemistry II AM028”.

    Publishing History

    Professor Grizzi has published more than 240 peer-reviewed articles and has given over 350 presentations at National and International meetings. His research has been published in prestigious journals, including The Lancet, The Lancet Oncology, Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy, Journal of Urology, British Journal of Urology International, Cancer Immunology Research, iScience, Scientific Reports, Gut, and Gastroenterology.

    Editing and Reviewing Experience

    Professor Grizzi has edited manuscripts for both students and colleagues at his institution. He is also a member of the editorial board for various scientific journals and serves as a reviewer for several prestigious publications, including PLoS One, Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology, Nature Communications, JAMA Network Open, Human Pathology, Cellular Immunology, Journal of Clinical Pathology, Physica A, International Journal of Cancer, Journal of Medical Virology, Journal of Medical Economics, Pancreatology, Pharmacological Reports, Journal of Translational Medicine, Endocrine-Related Cancer, Frontiers in Immunology, Frontiers in Oncology, Frontiers in Endocrinology, Human Immunology, Cell Proliferation, and Frontiers in Immunology.

    Professor Grizzi has written over 35 book chapters in the fields of oncological sciences, immunology, and general and applied pathology. Additionally, he has contributed to the creation of books focused on promoting quantitative sciences in biology and medicine.
