Dr Cannon is a veterinarian and molecular biologist with more than 10 years’ experience writing and editing scientific articles and grants, conducting research, and teaching students. She is currently pursuing further studies to become a Veterinary Anatomic Pathologist. She is knowledgeable in clinical and preclinical research, clinical case reports and case series, molecular biology, genetics, parasitology, biotechnology, and all areas of animal health.

Dr Cannon has authored four peer-reviewed papers, three as first author, in journals including the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, the Journal of Physiology, and Aging Cell.

Dr Cannon has edited manuscripts and grant applications for academic scientists, startup companies, and large life science companies around the world. She joined Edanz as an editor in 2021.

She has also written and published a book titled 'How to Start a Life Science Company'.
