Academic Background
Dr Moravec is a computer scientist who has worked in computer vision and multimedia retrieval both in industry and academic settings. From 2000 to 2003, she worked for Xerox Research Centre Europe Research, studying novel techniques in computer vision and image processing for emerging technologies and patented technology for automatic document generation. From 2009 to 2011 she was a Daphne Jackson Fellow sponsored by the Royal Academy of Engineering at University College London, where she worked on fast, binary hash-based search for audio recognition.

Since 2011, Dr Moravec has been a full time editor. She has edited over a thousand publications in all areas of computer science, robotics, electrical and electronics engineering, and applied mathematics. Her specialist topic is artificial intelligence, including machine learning and deep learning. Dr Moravec joined Edanz as an editor in 2013.
Writing Experience
Dr Moravec has written EurekAlert! press releases for several studies in the field of computer science and she has assisted authors with paper writing and grant writing (Israel Science Foundation). She has also written two units for a five-unit textbook on high-level vision for the IU International University of Applied Sciences, Germany (2023).
