    Dr Garcia’s PhD thesis focused on the development of a collocation method based on piecewise polynomial functions for solving higher-order two-point boundary value problems directly, thereby avoiding the need to convert them to a first-order system. She has a high degree of computer literacy, with experience in programming languages including Java and Fortran. An experienced academic editor, Dr Garcia combines a scientific background with a BA in English Literature and has created and edited training guidelines, and technical and financial documents. Editing primarily in the fields of mathematics, physics, computer science and engineering, Dr Garcia joined Edanz Group as an editor in 2015.
