    Academic Background

    Dr Viner was most recently the Division Director for a Health Department that serves 1.5 million individuals. She has two decades of experience writing grants and peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts, managing data, creating content for presentations, and serving as a subject matter expert for several scientific disciplines, including epidemiology, infectious diseases, substance abuse awareness and prevention, microbiology, molecular biology, parasitology, virology, and immunology. Dr Viner has extensive experience in project-based work and management, as well as in writing for lay audiences.

    Publishing History

    Dr Viner has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed manuscripts, 15 as first author, in journals including Drug and Alcohol Dependence, Public Health Reports, Clinical Infectious Diseases, Pediatrics, Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, Journal of Immunology, and Hepatology. She has presented at dozens of local and national Epidemiology, Immunology, Infectious Disease, and Substance Use-related conferences.

    Editing and Reviewing Experience

    Dr Viner has edited manuscripts for staff and colleagues at her institution. She has been a peer reviewer for multiple Infectious Disease, Public Health and Immunology Journals. Dr Viner also has experience reviewing and providing feedback on state and federal grant applications. She joined Edanz as an editor in 2021.

    Writing Experience

    Dr Viner has written dozens of scientific manuscripts and reports in addition to a book chapter on the immune response to vaccines for a textbook published in 2011.
