Academic Background
Ms Leffler spent over 10 years working in the UK civil service in the Departments of Health and Education and Skills. Her biochemistry degree coupled with her work on health and social services policy give her insight into health, medical, and social policy issues. She also has knowledge of management theory and practice from her MBA and a subsequent course on Organisational Development. She has worked as a freelance editor and writer for more than 10 years.
Publishing History
Ms Leffler worked as a team leader in the UK Civil Service and was responsible for drafting policy documents and guidance for practitioners including the White Paper 'Adoption, a new approach', the Government response to the Victoria Climbié Inquiry, and guidance on safeguarding children aimed at professionals working with children, "What to do if you’re worried a child is being abused". Since working as a freelance writer and editor, she has edited many academic papers published in peer-reviewed journals.

Ms Leffler has over 10 years' experience of academic editing and has built up a loyal group of repeat clients in both her private practice and in her work for Edanz. She specializes in helping authors to clearly communicate complex ideas to their readers. She has experience of editing and reviewing dissertations as well as academic papers.
