Academic Background
Dr Chi is a medical professional specializing in adult medicine and global health. As a physician and educator, her professional focus has been on both training healthcare professionals through the development of continuing educational content and improving the health of the community through effective patient education. She is the founder of a nonprofit organization aimed at improving access of medical care for pediatric populations worldwide and has volunteered as a medical professional in Ghana, Madagascar, Belize, and Bolivia.

As a medical editor, Dr Chi is passionate about empowering multilingual scientists and researchers in their own publication journey. Her areas of editing and writing expertise extend across both the public health sectors and a range of clinical specialties, including internal medicine, infectious diseases, cardiology, geriatrics, neurology, gastroenterology, oncology, critical care medicine, and palliative care. Dr Chi’s editing experience also includes publications in the biological sciences as well as topics related to medical and nursing education. For the past decade, she has also served as the managing editor of a health information and literary arts blog. Dr Chi earned a Specialized Certificate in copyediting and is part of several professional societies. She joined Edanz as an Editor and Medical Writer in 2023.
