    Academic Background

    Dr Peck is an experienced immunologist, particularly in neuroinflammatory autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis. Her educational background is highly varied and includes experience in behavioral psychology, homeostatic and inflammatory cell migration, and neuroinflammation models. She completed her PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology in early 2023 and since then has been investigating novel therapeutics for multiple sclerosis as part of her Post Doctoral research work. This research explores themes of vascular biology, cell migration, and immune cell differentiation. She has a high level of expertise in flow cytometry and confocal microscopy techniques and excellent knowledge of statistics.

    Publishing History

    Dr Peck has authored two peer-reviewed papers during her PhD research. These papers were published in The Journal of Neuroinflammation and Angewandte Chemie and the former won 3rd place for Best Student Paper at Victoria University of Wellington in 2023. She has also presented her research at multiple international conferences and won best poster prize at the Centre for Biodiscovery Symposium in 2022.

    Editing and Reviewing Experience

    Dr Peck has edited and reviewed manuscripts and grant applications for both students and colleagues at her university. She joined Edanz as an editor in 2024.

    Writing Experience

    Dr Peck has written an honors and a PhD thesis which were both praised by examiners for their concise and logical style. She has also written multiple successful grant applications and contributed to two peer-reviewed papers.
