    Academic Background

    Dr Williams worked for 20 years in a university psychology department, teaching and supervising students in a range of areas of psychology, including health, social and personality psychology, and biological and evolutionary psychology. She has conducted research in a range of areas, including comparative/biological psychology, health psychology, phenomenological psychology, and traditional Chinese medicine.

    Publishing History

    Dr Williams has published over a dozen peer-reviewed papers in journals such as Qualitative Research in Psychology, the International Journal of Primatology, and the European Journal of Oriental Medicine. She has presented at international conferences and has written successful research grant proposals.

    Editing and Reviewing Experience

    Dr Williams was a reviewer for the journal Anthrozoos for over 10 years. She has completed professional editing training courses by the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) and is a Professional Member of the CIEP. She began editing scientific papers in 2014 and has worked on manuscripts on a wide range of topics. She is experienced in editing at both standard and substantive levels for a wide range of document types, including manuscripts, books and book chapters, databases, and conference presentations.

    Writing Experience

    Dr Williams has worked on several book chapters and interactive e-books, and she has written scholarly works for a more general audience. She has worked on numerous writing projects for Edanz. In her spare time, she writes fiction and non-fiction books. She is currently writing a book on conceptual frameworks of embodied experiences.
