Academic Background
Dr Ure is an environmental chemist focusing on the monitoring and mitigation of contaminants in the agricultural and oil and gas sectors with experience in conducting field studies and publishing work in international journals. Currently, he is working on novel methods for the analysis of nitrogen- and oxygen-stable isotopes in microplastics to identify their origins and trace their movements within the environment. He is knowledgeable in the fields of materials and analytical chemistry, environmental and soil sciences, and agricultural sciences.
Publishing History
Dr Ure has authored four peer reviewed publications in journals such as the Journal of Environmental Management, ACS Sustainable Chemistry and Engineering, and ACS Agricultural Science and Technology. He has presented at several conferences including the International Association for Great Lakes Research conference (two oral, one poster).
Editing and Reviewing Experience
Dr Ure has edited manuscripts for fellow scholars and collaborators, including student theses. In addition, he has experience providing English and scientific editing through services such as MDPI’s internal English editing department and specialist editing service. Dr Ure joined Edanz as an editor in 2023.
