    Ms Leffler spent over ten years working in the UK civil service in the Departments of Health and Education and Skills, in a variety of roles including cancer care and quality improvement. There she worked as a team leader responsible for drafting policy documents and guidance for practitioners including the White Paper 'Adoption, a new approach', the Government response to the Victoria Climbié Inquiry, and guidance on safeguarding children aimed at professionals working with children, "What to do if you’re worried a child is being abused". Ms Leffler's biochemistry degree coupled with her work on health and social services policy give her insight into health, medical and social policy issues. She also has knowledge of management theory and practice from her MBA and a subsequent course on Organisational Development. Ms Leffler has considerable experience of editing academic manuscripts and specializes in helping authors to clearly communicate complex ideas to their readers. She joined Edanz as an editor in 2013.
